  6. General Knowledge (Everyday Science): This subject focuses on the candidate's understanding of basic scientific concepts and their application in everyday life. It covers topics such as physics, chemistry, biology, environmental science, and technological advancements.

These six compulsory subjects carry a significant weightage in the CSS exam, and it is important for candidates to prepare them thoroughly. In addition to the compulsory subjects, candidates are also required to select optional subjects from a given list based on their interest and specialization.
