Yes, there is age relaxation provided in the CSS (Central Superior Services) exams in Pakistan. The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) sets the eligibility criteria and age limits for the CSS exams. The standard age limit for candidates is generally between 21 and 30 years. However, certain categories are eligible for age relaxation. Here are the details:

  1. Balochistan: Candidates who are permanent residents of Balochistan are eligible for age relaxation of up to 3 years, according to the rules specified by the government.

  2. Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK): Candidates who are permanent residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir can avail age relaxation of up to 3 years as per the prescribed rules.

  3. Gilgit-Baltistan: Candidates who are permanent residents of Gilgit-Baltistan may be eligible for age relaxation of up to 3 years based on the regulations set by the government.

  4.  Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Recognized Tribes of the Tribal Areas, may be eligible for age relaxation of up to 3 years.
  5. Government Servants: There is a maximum age relaxation of up to 10 years for candidates who are already serving in government positions, subject to certain conditions. (employees of the Nationalized Banks, State Bank of Pakistan, WAPDA, other SemiGovernment and Autonomous Bodies are not eligible for this concession).
  6.  By fifteen years or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan, whichever is less, in the case of retired/ released officers/ personnel of the Armed Forces of Pakistan.
  7. By five years in case of widow, son or daughter of a deceased civil servant who dies during service.
