The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) follows a quota system to ensure representation and opportunities for various segments of the population. The reserved quotas for FPSC exams are as follows:

  1. Merit Quota:

    • The Merit Quota is open to candidates from all provinces and regions of Pakistan without any specific reservation.
    •  Merit 7.5 %
  2. Provincial/Regional Quotas:

    • Balochistan Quota: Reserved for candidates belonging to the province of Balochistan. Balochistan 6 %
    • Sindh (Rural) Quota: Reserved for candidates belonging to rural areas of Sindh.  Sindh (Including Karachi) 19%
    • Sindh (Urban) Quota: Reserved for candidates belonging to urban areas of Sindh.
    • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Quota: Reserved for candidates belonging to KPK province. 11.5 %
    • Punjab Quota: Reserved for candidates belonging to Punjab province.  (Including Federal Area of Islamabad) 50 %
    • AJK Quota: Reserved for candidates belonging to Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Azad Kashmir 2%
    • Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Quota: Reserved for candidates belonging to Gilgit Baltistan. Northern Areas and Federally Administrated Tribal Areas  4 %
  3. Women Quota:

    • A certain percentage of vacancies are reserved for female candidates across all categories. 10% Women quota
  4. Minorities Quota:

    • A certain percentage of vacancies are reserved for candidates belonging to religious minorities.
  5. Disabled Quota:

    • A certain percentage of vacancies are reserved for candidates with disabilities.
