When a recommended candidate does not join the post, the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) may provide a substitute candidate based on the following procedure:

Acceptance and Joining Process: The substitute candidate who receives the offer has to accept it within a specified time frame. They are required to follow the joining process, which may include submitting necessary documents, undergoing a medical examination, and completing any other formalities required by the department.
