  1. Syllabus: Obtain the official PPSC syllabus for the System Network Administrator exam. The syllabus will provide you with a comprehensive list of topics that you need to cover. Pay close attention to subjects such as computer networks, network security, operating systems, database management, and system administration.

  2. Eligibility Criteria: Review the eligibility criteria set by the PPSC for the System Network Administrator position. Ensure that you meet the required qualifications, which typically include a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with relevant work experience. Make sure to fulfill any additional criteria, such as age limits or specific certifications.

  3. Age Limit: Check the age limit set by the PPSC for the System Network Administrator position. Educational Qualifications:  a) Master's degree (second division) in Computer Science or Information Technology or BCS (four years) (second division) in Computer Science or BS (second division) in Computer Systems Engineering or Computer Engineering or Software Engineering from an institute or university recognized by the Higher Education Commission.                                                        b) Four years' post-qualification experience in planning designing, building, and implementing of network infrastructure solutions from public or private sector organizations - Development and management of the core information technology infrastructure and optimization of key processes related to the use of the integrated systems. Design and operation of interfacing technologies such as networking, storage solutions, cloud computing, and data center technologies. Design and operation of System or Network management Windows or Unix-based server platforms.

    c) Hands-on experience with switches, routers, wireless, firewalls, load balancers, and other network-related appliances from private or public sector organizations.
    NOTE:
    i) Only practical experience be acquired after the prescribed qualification.
    ii) Experience in private entities shall be accepted if such entity is registered
    with SECP, Registrar of firms or any other regulatory authority

  6. Study Relevant Subjects (80%): Dedicate time to study the core subjects mentioned in the syllabus. These may include computer networks, network protocols, network security, operating systems (such as Windows and Linux), database management systems(such as MySQL or Oracle), system administration, and troubleshooting techniques. Study from reliable textbooks, online resources, and relevant study materials.

  7. General ability (20%): Including General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, English, Basic Mathematics, Urdu, Everyday Science, and Basic Computer Studies.
