The selection process typically involves a written examination, followed by interviews and sometimes a psychological assessment. The weightage and specific stages of the selection process may vary among provinces.
The selection process for the PMS exam is as follows:
- Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET): The PET is a screening test that is conducted to shortlist candidates for the written exam. The PET consists of a multiple-choice question paper that tests the candidate's knowledge of general knowledge, English, and Pakistan studies.
- Written Exam: The written exam is a compulsory exam that all candidates must pass in order to be considered for the interview.
- Interview: The interview is a compulsory exam that all candidates must pass in order to be considered for the final selection. The interview is a chance for the PPSC to assess the candidate's personality, communication skills, and suitability for the job.
- Medical Examination: The medical examination is a compulsory exam that all candidates must pass in order to be considered for the final selection. The medical examination is conducted to ensure that the candidate is physically fit for the job.
