Jahangir Khan Tareen announced the formation of a new political party — Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party during the party’s first joint press conference in Islamabad on Thursday.
The launch of the new political party was attended by several former members of the national and provincial assemblies who recently left Imran Khan’s PTI following the May 9 incident.
Former PTI leaders Imran Ismail, Aleem Khan, fawad ch and Ali Zaidi, among others during the press conference.
As he announced the party’s launch, Tareen said he wanted to make a contribution to the country’s development.
Jahangir Tareen said that we have come today to lay the foundation of a new party ‘Isthakam Pakistan’. He said that our country is passing through a critical period, the need to form a new party arose to contribute to the country’s development in some way.
