Background of the Current Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan
Mohammad Ishaq Dar is a senior leader of the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) and one of Pakistan’s most experienced politicians. Throughout his political career, he has served multiple terms as the Federal Minister for Finance and has played a key role in Pakistan’s economic and diplomatic affairs. In April 2024, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif appointed him as the Deputy Prime Minister, while he continued to serve as the Foreign Minister.
