A significant milestone for Vision 2030 was reached when non-oil activity surpassed 50% of Saudi Arabia’s real GDP for the first time, according to several official sources and economic reports from early 2026.
The precise number varies slightly depending on the source: Saudi Economy While official KPMG and Ministry of Finance figures show the non-oil sector accounted for roughly 55.6% in the first half of 2025, Minister Faisal Alibrahim acknowledged in October 2025 that non-oil activity had reached 56% of real GDP. Compared to 45.4% in 2016, when Vision 2030 was introduced, this represents a significant increase.
